Dana G. Kissner, MD, MS
Dr. Kissner is board certified in Critical Care, Pulmonary Medicine and Internal Medicine, is Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at Wayne State University, and serves as Medical Director of the Cystic Fibrosis Center at the DMC Lung Institute and Wayne State University and Medical Director of TB Clinical Services at Institute of Population Health. She specializes in TB and cystic fibrosis. Dr. Kissner earned her medical degree and completed her residency and fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Michigan. She later earned a Master’s of Science degree in Clinical Research Designs and Statistical Analysis from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. Beyond her work in patient care and research, Dr. Kissner is committed to medical education. She regularly gives talks to Wayne State University medical students, Internal Medicine residents, fellows, and physician assistant students. She is a frequent speaker at professional conferences and Internal Medicine grand rounds and has published journal articles and book chapters on cystic fibrosis and TB topics. Dr. Kissner is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Chest Physicians, American Thoracic Society, Michigan Advisory Committee for the Elimination of Tuberculosis, and National Society of TB Clinicians. She has received numerous awards and recognitions, including multiple recognitions as one of the Best Doctors in America.
