Jack Wheeler, Ph.D.
Jack Wheeler, Ph.D., is Professor of Health Management and Policy in the University of Michigan School of Public Health, where he served as chair from 1991-1997.
During his term as chair, the Department of Health Management and Policy was continuously recognized as the leading program in health administration education in the country. He is also Professor of Pediatrics and Communicable Diseases in the University of Michigan Medical School and Faculty Associate at the Institute for Social Research. Professor Wheeler has also held a faculty appointment in the Cornell University School of Business. He teaches finance in executive management programs at Michigan, the University of Colorado at Denver, the University of Massachusetts, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, as well as internationally under the auspices of Johnson and Johnson and Project Hope. He has served on numerous not-for-profit boards and as a consultant to health care provider organizations and health care financing organizations.
