Meredith Freeman is Director of Fair Food Detroit and developed the Fair Food Fund Detroit. She provides overall strategy development and implementation to ensure equity in the food system, in collaboration with community-based organizations, policy makers, funders and residents.
Meredith has extensive experience in nonprofit management and community development. She has worked with the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), Citibank Global Community Relations, and Episcopal Charities of the Diocese of New York. She has also taught graduate level courses in Nonprofit Management at Seton Hall University and the New School. Meredith received a B.A. from Michigan State University, and an M.S. in Management and Urban Policy from the New School University in New York.
